Therapy explains the "why." Coaching builds the "how." Our ADHD coaches help you design practical systems, build real habits, and finally create the structure your brain craves โ without fighting yourself every step of the way.
Both are valuable. Many clients do both. Here's how to think about the distinction.

Every coaching relationship is customized, but these are the core executive function areas we address most often.
Stop living in "time blindness." We build realistic schedules, transition rituals, and time-awareness habits that actually stick for the ADHD brain.
Getting started is often the hardest part with ADHD. We identify your specific blocks and build reliable systems for breaking inertia โ every time.
Not just "clean your desk." We design organizational systems that fit how your brain actually works, not how it "should" work according to a neurotypical planner.
ADHD brains start strong and drift. We use ADHD-specific goal frameworks to maintain momentum and finish what you start.
Identify your peak performance windows, manage hyperfocus, and build recovery into your day โ so you stop crashing and burning by 3pm.
External accountability is one of the most powerful ADHD tools. We build the right structures so you don't rely on willpower alone.
All plans include weekly 1:1 sessions, between-session messaging, and a personalized strategy playbook. No insurance needed.
All plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. Cancel anytime. Not sure which plan is right? Ask during your free consult.
No. Coaching is not a clinical service, so there's no diagnosis required to start. Many of our coaching clients suspect they have ADHD but haven't been formally evaluated yet โ some pursue coaching while undergoing evaluation, or after receiving a diagnosis. If you want a formal evaluation, we can help with that too.
Coaching is not a clinical service and is not reimbursable by health insurance. This is actually an advantage โ it means no prior authorization, no session limits, no diagnosis required, and complete flexibility in how we structure your program. The investment is comparable to a gym membership, and the return on productivity and quality of life is typically significant.
Absolutely โ and many clients do. Therapy and coaching are complementary. Therapy addresses the emotional and psychological dimensions of ADHD; coaching handles the practical skills and systems. When coordinated well, the two reinforce each other powerfully. If you're a Nova therapy client, we can coordinate your coach and therapist to ensure alignment.
Most clients notice meaningful shifts within the first 3โ4 sessions. Coaching is designed to be action-oriented โ you leave every session with specific, concrete next steps. That said, lasting behavioral change takes time. We recommend committing to at least 3 months to build durable habits and systems. Most clients choose to continue well beyond that because of the compounding effect on their productivity and wellbeing.
