Is This Right for You?

Who Gets Evaluated at Nova

We evaluate adults and teens across a wide range of situations — from "I've always suspected ADHD" to "I need documentation for school or work."

🎓

College Students

Need documented disability accommodations (extended time, separate testing room) for the DSA or testing board? Our report meets all requirements.

💼

Working Adults

Struggling with focus, organization, or time management on the job? Finally get clarity on whether ADHD is the root cause — and what to do about it.

👨‍👩‍👦

Parents of Teens

Concerned about your teenager's school performance, behavior, or attention? We evaluate adolescents (14+) and include parent input throughout.

🎖️

Veterans

ADHD is commonly under-identified in military veterans. An evaluation can support VA disability claims and connect service to diagnosis through a nexus letter.

💊

Medication Seekers

Your psychiatrist or PCP has asked for formal documentation before prescribing stimulant medication. Our report provides exactly what they need.

🔍

The Curious & Undiagnosed

You've read the symptoms, you see yourself — but you want certainty, not speculation. An evaluation gives you a definitive answer either way.

Questions

ADHD Testing FAQs

Can I really do a valid ADHD evaluation via telehealth?
+

Yes. Research consistently shows that telehealth-administered cognitive and neuropsychological assessments produce results equivalent to in-person testing when proper protocols are followed. We use platforms specifically designed for remote testing and follow APA guidelines for telehealth psychological assessment. Our reports are accepted by schools, employers, and prescribers nationwide.

What if the evaluation shows I don't have ADHD?
+

That's a valid and valuable outcome. If ADHD is ruled out, your report will often identify what IS contributing to your difficulties — anxiety, learning differences, sleep disorders, mood issues, or other factors. You'll leave with clarity rather than an incorrect label, and specific guidance on what to address instead.

Do you evaluate children as well as adults?
+

We evaluate adolescents ages 14 and up. For younger children (under 14), we recommend seeking a neuropsychologist who specializes in pediatric assessments. Contact us and we can refer you to appropriate providers in your area.

How is this different from getting evaluated by my primary care doctor?
+

Primary care ADHD assessments are typically brief clinical interviews and symptom checklists — not psychological evaluations. A comprehensive evaluation by a licensed psychologist includes standardized cognitive testing, normed rating scales, and a detailed written report. This level of rigor is required by most schools, many employers, testing boards (bar exam, MCAT, etc.), and for VA claims.
